Mona Al-Qahtani born in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia 1st of December 1986. She is an emerging and experimental artist . For many years she was experimenting with different techniques and mediums.
Mona has received a BA in Early Childhood Education. After her graduation she worked on several projects involving children and arts, the profits of these projects funded charity organization. She is currently living in the united states, working on her masters degree.
Her art style is a mixture of contemporary and traditional, using different art methods. Lately she started working with digital art projects.
In the future, she wishes to start a non profit organization to help children experiment art in many ways.
Mona worked with many Art Exhibitions and magazines in saudi and in Dubai and worked with Noor Dubai Foundation in collaboration with Ara gallery and Christies Dubai, “ART4SIGHT” an art event that will help restore vision through the generous donation of artworks sold in a fundraising auction.
As an influence Mona looks up to artists like: Egon Schiele, Frida Kahlo, Gustav Klimt along with the influence of her Beduin roots and its combination with her modern life in an industrial city. Working on her projects Mona is inspired by folk music, literary works, daily life and nature. She is not afraid to try and mix bright colors because art should be an adventure to the artist. Her current obsession is Fashion Digital illustration and middle eastern oriental art.
